Itinerary description
Starting from Bathway this hike heads north to Levera Beach and Grenada's main turtle nesting beach. Walk along beach and then take track towards Sauters, turning sharp left after ascent of hill on tarmac road to climb back up to Levera Hill on woodland track. A left turn takes you to summit of the hill - another 200ft of climbing but well worth it for the incredible view. A few yards east of the summit is the "Welcome Stone" with even better views. Descend towards Rose Hill and then meander back to Bathway mainly on concrete road. Approx 2.5 hours. Take water but can find rum shops conveniently spaced along the route. Beautiful hike.
Please note! There is now a radar station on top of Levera Hill with a concrete road all the way to the top. So the trail to the top of the hill is no longer and you simply have to walk up the road. Not nearly so interesting but still worth it for the views. Also development has started of a resort at Levera Beach, which could affect access in this area.
