Itinerary description
Waypoints
Slope
cross the dry river bed and climb the slope. You can also take the less steep way up (path on the left right behind the river bed), way more comfortable.
river bed
cross the dry river bed. the path leads up o. the other side. The path now follows the river bed for a while
two trees
the path is on the left side of these two trees and will further on turn to the left, leading us to the saddle (second picture) which you can see on your left from this point
river bed
cross the river bed. Here the path is barely noticeable for a few meters, but right after crossing the river bed, you’ll see the path up on your left (second picture, on the central hill, right behind the stone dam)
the Saddle
you are now at the saddle, the start of the real climb. At first, the path is clear (see picture), but further on, one sometimes has to be careful to see it. Follow the path made by water coming down.
sitting stones.
nice rock formation, with the saddle path in the back. Perfect for a rest
view on noticeable rock
here, around 50 meters before this noticeable rock, the path becomes less clear. It leads up to the rock formations a little higher on your right.
cross the slab
the path leads you to this big stone and seems to come to an end. climb over the stone and the (rocky) path will continue. Almost at the top!
Limaria hill top - Señal
when looking at the sign on the cone, turn 90 degrees around: the path down starts at your right side, around 15 m in front of you. Second picture shows señal as seen from the start of the path
fork. right leads to los higuerales.
go straight ahead and then go up with the terraces (second picture) on your left hand side
Waypoint
At this remarkable stone, head towards the terraces uphill, keep them to your right while going up.
antenna
from the upper terrace, one can already see the antenna which is on the path to limaria. follow the left side of this rambla uphill. these 100 meters, up to the antenna, are the only ones where a path is non-existent.
last terrace
climb on this terrace and keep going up (no path for about 10 m). At the top, you will connect to the proper path that leads to Limaria
don’t cross the wall
don’t cross the wall, but turn left into the olive patch. connect to the little shed at the end of the patch
