Itinerary description
This is a challenging but a beautiful trail along the Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT) that goes from Douma to the Baatara sinkhole (Baloue Balaa).
I went from Douma to the Baatara sinkhole via Sikket el Sham and returned via the Foghri mountain.
If you want more information about the trail and its sections please visit the LMT website.

Note: Overall the trail is well blazed. There were only a couple of places where it was a little confusing.
1) From the town square the actual trail few places were not well blazed but with the gps file I had gotten from the LMT office it was easy finding the trail.
2) There were a couple of very small section along the trail that I followed that differ from the blazing. The first one going towards the Baatara sinkhole was a mistake I made. The second one (on the way back) happened because I decided to follow the gps coordinates that I had gotten from the LMT office rather than the blazing.
So just make sure to get the gps coordinates of the trail from the LMT and ask their office whether to follow the coordinates or the blazing should there be a conflict.
