Los Boliches – Osunillas
This is a linear walk so you will have to work out bus timetables for your return trip (to Fuengirola), or walk the route back down, which will make it a longish day. There is one circular glitch near the beginning, just ignore it and go straight up.
This walk starts in Los Boliches near the train station (Granier (for a coffee)is a good starting point).
Get onto Avenida de las Salinas and follow the route until you get to Diseminado La Loma.
Then go under the tunnel, which can be wet and slippery at times.
Then taking the bridge over the motorway you get onto Camino de Pajares. Now you are into the campo where you will pass a Frisbee park area.
Eventually you will come to a roundabout that you can sit on for a break.
From here you will eventually come to a 500 year old mill (converted into a dwelling, pillars painted red) and an Algarrobo tree of about the same age. From here you will come to the Traventinos rock formation. A bit further up you will pass a cave house on your right.
From here is a bit of a steep climb to the San Anton chapel.
It’s nice to end the walk at bar Osunillas. Opening times are a bit erratic at the moment.
