Itinerary description

The Los Condes Circuit Variations are some of my favourite walks in the Sierra de Mijas. They are scenic, peaceful and not crowded.
It’s a good workout, usually about an hour of uphill before the start of the descent.
Los Condes Circuit Variation No 3
This circular walk starts from the very small hamlet of Los Condes, near Valtocado, on the outskirts of Mijas.
It uses a small part of the Sendero Circular de la Adelfa by going up the right hand side of the ravine, then cutting across the Pista Sur, and then finally coming out at Alta Vista.
It is a medium hike in beautiful woodlands with great panoramic views.
The path is sandy, rocky and stony, made up mainly of limestone and sandstone. I would recommend walking boots instead of trainers.
Venta los Condes - This great little Venta has had a change of ownership; it has been reformed and gone upmarket. The change is amazing. It is run by my friend Jimmy Stavos, whom I have known for more than 17 years.
It provides a unique blend of traditional venta and fine dining.
You can also turn up for only a drink after a walk.
If you want to eat there it’s better to make an appointment as it gets booked up very quickly
