Los Llares - Camino viejo del Moral

<<< English follows >>> Esta ruta sale del pueblo de Los Llares, al sur de Torrelavega. Al final del pueblo existe un aparcamiento con un par de mesas para picnic

El camino va a transcurrir siempre junto al río aunque no necesariamente al lado de él. Hay zonas en las que estaremos más separados del río pero siempre va a ser un paseo a la sombra y fresco. En ocasiones parecerá que vamos "en" el río por los charcos y el barro. Aun así, es un camino sencillo y muy bonito aunque hay tramos que necesitan un poco de desbroce

Nada más salir hay que tener cuidado al escoger un camino que sale a la derecha, no el que va junto al río. Hay un WPT que lo marca. El río se ve entre el bosque y se escucha durante todo el recorrido. El camino es estrecho (no pueden pasar coches). Aunque es julio hay bastante humedad, sobre todo en la zona marcada como "Río intermitente". Ahí hay bastante agua y barro

Pasamos varios puentes y zonas de bosque cubiertas por el musgo mientras vamos cogiendo altura. En el bosque vemos avellanos y robles y muchas setas. Hay musgo por todas partes

Una vez que se pasa el WPT "Otro puente de madera" se comienza una subida por un sendero (ver poste señalizado con el número 2). Hay que subir entre las rocas de lo que parece ser el lecho de un torrente. Ascendemos por esa senda pero no encontramos nada interesante y, tras unos 400 metros, damos la vuelta y regresamos

El camino de vuelta se puede hacer desandando todo el camino o cogiendo un desvío que nos lleva a la carretera CA-804. La carretera nos facilita el retorno. Hay un WPT que lo indica

En resumen, ruta bonita y sencilla, por un bosque cerca de un río. La pena es que no hay un punto final claro. O, al menos, nosotros no fuimos capaces de encontrarlo.

The path will always run along the river, but not necessarily beside it. There are areas where we will be more separated from the river but it will always be a cool, shady walk. Sometimes it will seem that we are "in" the river because of the puddles and the mud. Even so, it is a simple and very beautiful path although there are sections that need a little clearing

As soon as you leave, you must be careful to choose a path that goes to the right, not the one by the river. There's a WPT that marks it. You can see the river in the forest and hear it all the way through. The path is narrow (no cars can pass). Although it's July there is quite a lot of humidity, especially in the area marked as "Intermittent river". There is quite a lot of water and mud

We passed several bridges and moss-covered forest areas as we gained altitude. In the forest we see hazelnut and oak trees and many mushrooms. There is moss everywhere
Once you pass the WPT "Another wooden bridge more" you start climbing up a path (see post marked number 2). You have to climb between the rocks of what seems to be the bed of a torrent. We climb up that path but we don't find anything interesting and after about 400 meters we turn around and go back

The return can be done by going all the way back or taking a detour that leads to the CA-804 road. The road makes the return easier. There is a WPT that indicates it

In short, a nice and simple route, through a forest near a river. The pity is that there is no clear end point. Or, at least, we weren't able to find it.
