Los Silos - Las Moradas - Barranco Los Cochinos - Tunel - Cuevas Negras - Los Silos.

The trail starts in a beautiful northern town of Los Silos during the Festival Internacional del Cuento los Silos (Storytelling festival) which is a multiple day even and worth visiting itself.

Our trail leads up to the abandoned houses of Las Moradas de Abajo, and Las Moradas de arribe, first quite steep, and then, after the houses, with less gradient. Upon reaching the Pista Los Calabaceros dirt road, take it to the very end without turning marked trail to Erjos. At the end of the the road, there is very hidden trail down to the barranco de los Cochinos, and it is very steep and hidden by vegetation that at first you think you took the wrong one. After some time trail reaches the bottom of ravine, and few hundred meters further there are installation of abandoned water gallery Piedra de Los Cochinos which was the site of tragic events of 2007. Follow the canal, and you will find the entrance of the tunnel in very narrow and hidden site.
The canal occupies entire bottom of the tunnel and can be up to 20...30 cm deep , so it is important to have second pair of shoes to walk through it. Also, carry the searchlights, because it is entirely dark, and the height of the tunnel does not allow to stand up in many places. The length of the tunnel is 660m and it should take no more than 15 min to pass it.
On the opposite side it exits at the abandoned houses of Cuevas Negras, and from there take the descending path back to Los Silos.

El sendero comienza en el hermoso pueblo de Los Silos durante el Festival Internacional del Cuento de los Silos, que es un día que vale la pena visitar.

Nuestro camino conduce a las casas abandonadas de Las Moradas de Abajo, y Las Moradas de Arribe, primero bastante empinado, y luego, después de las casas, con menos desnivel. Al llegar a la pista Los Calabaceros, llévelo hasta el final sin dar vuelta a Erjos. Al final de la pista, hay un sendero muy escondido hasta el Barranco de los Cochinos, y es muy empinado y escondido por la vegetación que al principio crees que tomaste el equivocado. Después de algún tiempo, el sendero llega al fondo del barranco, y unos cientos de metros más allá se encuentra la instalación de la galería de agua abandonada Piedra de Los Cochinos, que fue el sitio de los trágicos sucesos de 2007. Siga el canal, y encontrará la entrada del túnel en sitio muy estrecho y oculto.
El canal ocupa todo el fondo del túnel y puede tener hasta 20 ... 30 cm de profundidad, por lo que es importante tener un segundo par de zapatos para atravesarlo. Además, lleva las linternas, ya que está completamente oscuro, y la altura del túnel solo permite ir agachato. La longitud del túnel es de 660m y no debería tomar más de 15 minutos para pasarlo.
En el lado opuesto sale a las casas abandonadas de Cuevas Negras, y desde allí toma el camino descendente de regreso a Los Silos.
