Itinerary description
Walk from Lugano to take the funicular to Monte Bre and then walk back to Lugano. There is a fair bit of walking on minor roads at the start, but an attempt is made to minimise this and take trails instead when available. The final part of the walk through Lugano is not particularly interesting - it could easily be cut short at this point.
The funicular is in two stages - pay after arrival at the top of the first stage.

Town walk, great part with nice houses, but I am still guessing what to see on the top of the Monte Bre.
Instead I suggest to go by foot to the Monte Tamaro 😉
