Route around MacRitchie Reservoir, passing through the TreeTop Walk , about 10km.
This route is not suitable for traveling with only one car. The idea would be to go with two cars or, like us, use public transport (metro). You can go with a car, but you would have to shorten the route, or go around it completely and lengthen it (at least 3km more).
To get to the starting point, we took the metro to the Bright Hill stop (TEL line) and walked for about 10 minutes to the parking lot/start of the route. On the way back, we walked to the Caldecott stop (TEL/Circle line), which is also about 10 minutes. There are car parking spaces at both the starting point and the end of the route.
The day we did the route, the TreeTop Walk bridge was closed (take into account the opening hours of the bridge – It closes on Mondays and is open until 4:45 p.m.). For this reason, we reached the bridge but had to turn around to the main road again, to follow the path around the reservoir. If you cross the bridge, you will have to follow the path and you will recover the path of the track. There is no loss and all the paths are very well signposted.
The route is yes, it is easy and suitable for everyone. All intersections are marked with signs, there is no getting lost. It is a very beautiful and quiet route, with diverse landscapes (jungle, golf course, reservoir).
