Maravillosa ruta, sin duda. En más de una ocasión te recuerda a los paisajes de la película “Parque Jurásico”. Muchas flores y cascadas. Tiene una dificultad moderada porque hay un tramo de escaleras bastante fatigoso. Aconsejo hacerla en el sentido opuesto a las agujas del reloj. Toda la caminata es a la sombra. Sólo vimos a dos personas en cinco horas y media
El WPT “Another planet viewpoint” es impresionante, sobre todo si hay nubes y éstas están por debajo de uno. El camino tiene dos espectaculares túneles, unos de 250 metros y otro de 550 metros. Son perfectamente rectos así que siempre se ve la luz al final del túnel. El WPT “Pass” es un bonito collado con vistas al Norte y al Sur. Es aconsejable llevar agua, comida y luz. La ruta se cierra caminando por una carretera que tiene frecuentes desprendimientos, mucho cuidado
Con todo es indudablemente la mejor ruta que hemos hecho en una semana en la isla de Madeira

Wonderful route, no doubt. On more than one occasion you will remember the scenery of the movie "Jurassic Park." Many flowers and waterfalls. It has a moderate difficulty because a part has many steps very tiring. I advise to do it in counter clockwise direction. The entire hike is in the shade. We only saw two people in five hours and a half
The WPT "Another planet viewpoint" is awesome, especially if there are clouds and they are below one. The road has two spectacular tunnels, one has 250 meters long and another has 550 meters. Both are perfectly straight so they always see the light at the end of the tunnel. The WPT "Pass" is a beautiful pass overlooking the North and South. It is advisable to bring water, food and light. The route ends walking down a road with frequent rock falls, be very careful
It is undoubtedly the best route we've done in a week on the island of Madeira.

Muy buena ruta! 100% recomendable. Nosotros desde el parking salimos en sentido contrario, subiendo hacia la carretera que está cerrada por los desprendimientos frecuentes. Caminando por las levadas hay algún tramo donde te mojas, pero es de agradecer en verano. Mucha sombra en gran parte de la ruta. Pasar por dentro de los túneles es una buena experiencia, recomendamos llevar luz. En la primera parte de la ruta no encontramos casi a nadie, no así en el tramo final (según en sentido en que nosotros hacíamos la ruta) donde había bastante más afluencia, sin llegar nunca a ser molesto.

On se croirait dans la jungle!! Quels paysages malgré les nuages.
Dans l'un des tunnels, suite aux pluies des jours précédents, la levada a débordé et nous avions les pieds carrément dans l'eau.
Les escaliers sont effectivement très fatigants.
Nous avons eu l'agréable surprise de rencontrer un couple d'allemands qui nous ont évité de faire la dernière partie sur la route.
Merci à Aladino pour cette levada.
ps: nous avons rencontré un peu plus de monde que lui!

Super nice trail. The best so far, which I ever done! Different attraction, tunnels, hills, pass, etc. Sun and rain. Waterfalls! Take flashlight, this is must! Without flashlight you will not be able to cross the two very long tunnels near the levadas. One is almost 1 km long.
Nice walk , beautiful combination of levada's , steep mountains, wet balconies. Last part over the road is bit borring, one can overcome.
Looks promising!
But, what is "Risky point"? What is risky about it?
Risky point is because of a narrow pass. It is not dangerous but you must pay a little attention

Muchas Gracias aladino01. Totalmente de acuerdo, por ahora la ruta más bonita que he hecho en Madeira. Tiene todo lo que me llevó a viajar a Madeira y unas cuantas sorpresas más. Quizás el tramo final de carretera se hace un poco pesado pero no es nada con todo lo visto antes.
