Itinerary description
Probably the most famous and traveled levada in Madeira, with one difference. Everyone usually starts in Rabaçal from Paul da Serra. Well, there is another way. It's from Calheta and the good thing is you are already on the levada that goes to 25 Fontes, you just have to pass trough a tunnel (so don't forget to bring your flashlight). On your way to 25 Fontes there are one or two paths that go up to Risco and Rabaçal.
Also one good thing about starting on Calheta is that you don't have to go up the road where you parked the car, because no private cars are allowed to go down to Rabaçal House.
