Itinerary description
Lovely hike with some important difficulties. The first 3km are on asphalt, rather boring. I suggest you take the trail in Valle delle Cartiere both up and back down. It's much nicer.
Pay attention from Caneto - Luiseti the stairs are rather steep and there is a lot of rolling stones.
When you get to Waypoint A the path becomes an EE (read further at Waypoint A).
The trail in the forest (Selva) to get to Navazzo is very nice and shady.
When you get to Villa Lena, DON'T follow my track down to the Camerate. The Vally is CLOSED due to a very big landslide. NO WAY to bypass it. The trail is CLOSED until further notice. They have made an alternative trail but it is an EEA.
From Villa Lena the road is boring again, concrete and steep down hill. The views of the lake are nice though.
I went down in the Valle delle Cartiere instead of going on asphalt back to Gaino.
It is a nice trail and the view from Monte Castello di Gaino was amazing today.
The hike with out my detour down to Valle delle Camerate is ca 14km

From here the path is EE narrow, exposed, rocky and with steel cables to get to the top. If you have vertigo problems this is not for you.
