Itinerary description

We start the trail from Radomire village. The road to go to the village is paved and you can go also with small car. Our main objective is to hike to the summit of Small Korabi 2683m and the Gate of Korabi 2725 that are located in southwest of the main Peak Korabi 2751m. Both of them are part of Korabi range. It is represented by a mountain massif, typically alpine, especially in the northern part, while in the southern part the relief is somewhat softer. Also, the water network is rich in rivers, streams and karst lakes, habitats that are quite suitable for a large number of amphibians, reptiles and fish.
The first 7.5 km you can walk in a path that is not very well marked but that you can distinguish very well. After that you have turn left and up to catch the neck between the two summits. When you are in the neck you have to turn in right and up to go to the summit. After that we go down to the neck and we deviated in north east part with a total of 250m elevation loss in order to catch the north ridge of Gate of Korabi 2725. Only the final part of the ridge is rocky and difficult to climb because the rock massif is very breakable and when pass up and down to reach the summit is very exposed, so in this part you need to have some climbing skill. After that we go down taking the direction of Radomire village in a trail that is not well marked. The panorama in all around is very beautiful.
