Itinerary description
**Follow this route in reverse please, so you choose best way to ascent and save your self from additional elevation gain.
Route is marked well, yet you'll need navigation as we did not follow markations all the way as there would be additional unnecessary km added.
Water is marked on trail but not reliable as 1 spring was dryied out due to poor rain season.
This peak is known as Pyramid 6 from Albanian hikers as it's peak located on the border line between Macedonia and Albania.
First 7km trail is the same from Strezimir as to Golem Korab and than it splits into left side taking you above Kobilino Pole (walley) trough narrow marked path with no ascent parts until bellow Mal Korab Peak. From the pictures taken on trail you can see the sights and scenery we enjoyed today.
I highly recomend this route when there is no snow (risk from avalange) and day is long enough.
Road to Strezimir accessible by car in this period but have on mind that it is subject of constant change so please check the condition when planing the route.
For any additional info, please message me.
Waypoints
Karaula Strezimir, start point when (road is ok) to Golem Korab peak and many other peaks near to it. This is military building
Building is closed almost all the time except for annual Korab ascent on 8th Sep. when they open it.
Waypoint
This is where you can take shortcut if you don't want to walk the road which is longer but less steeper than shortcut paths.
Wilderness hut (can be used as shelter if needed)
This is abandoned sheep house that can use as shelter in rain, storm, night conditions ect.
Intersection
It's a place where summer and winter trail split. Do not use summer trail when there is still snow on the path as there is a huge risk snow will slide you down or from avalange.
Waypoint
Mal Korab and Kepi BarT, there is Kepi BarD peak under which path goes to Golem Korab and than Kepi BarT which is right next to Mal Korab
Intersection
There is no sign that will inform you to turn left here if you want to take the route to Mal Korab or Kepi Bart but when you notice the path you will also see markations so you will be sure that you are on the right way. (Name of the peak Mal Korab on the maps is not accurate.)
