Itinerary description
From Hotel Flor los Almendros, Peguera, we followed the Calle de Cala Fornells route all the way to the bays of the same name at the end. There is a car park to the right, and leading from the car park a forest path that took us through pine and olive trees and many cacti and flowers ending at Caló des Monjo; a beautiful and peaceful bay that was used in scenes from Evil Under the Sun, a Guy Hamilton film that, after our swims today, we are now quite eager to watch. Continuing along the same route after a swim break, we reached the defence tower Cap Andritxol. This was one of 14 coastal forts which were built and used to control and defend the coasts when Mallorca was under constant pirate attacks (Turks and barbarian). We got wonderful views of the Calvià and Camp de Mar coasts on either side of the outcrop. Many beautiful photo vistas along the way
