Itinerary description
This walk will give you a good impression of the region as it will give you many views along the way.
The start in the little village of Manas is breathtaking because of the many narrow and curving alleys and passages.
From the last houses of the village the track goes into the woods and for quite a while it ascends gradually. You will have at regular intervalls good views on the surroundings of Pont-de-Barret and the mountains above Eyzahut.
There will also be a stretch that the climb is quite steep but the track itself presents no problems at all.
After making a wide turn you will have good views into the plains of Puy-Saint-Martin and at a height of 500m. arrive at the beautifully situated belvedere des Fours which will give you an all around view, the Vercors to the northwest, Roche Colombe, Saou Forest, LesTrois Becs, Le Grand Delmas and the Montagne de Couspeau and more.
The descent is less steep than the climb and will continue to give you views onto the plains. The last stretch is along cultivated fields, especially lavender.
