Itinerary description
Trip to Mount Midtfjell(1255 m) in sept.2009. 4.5-5 hours T / R.
From Ulvik in Hardanger, drive to Sjusete. From here you walk to the reight ofg Vambheimselva. Just before Hedlesete take into the path to the left. Gradually vanishing trail, but keep in direction Grimsnuttjørna. From there up a protrusion on the right. Keep on the north side of this. At the top it goes straight down. Looking beyond the Hardangerfjord and inwards towards Eidfjord. If you are lucky you will see eagles, we saw 2 pcs. In south-westerly direction for Midtfjell lies the selected top Disk (1182), which is a nice detour before returning to Sjusete. Further in south you see Oksen (1241) and Veten (see another tour description). From Disk we passes Mount Trappefjell (1177) on our way back to Sjusete.

Très belle randonnée. La vue sur le fjord est époustouflante et se dévoile au dernier moment. Pas de sentier après la gorge du torrent, mais suivre à proximité du tracé indiqué. Après la bergerie, passage du torrent par la gauche au plus près du torrent avant de remonter une pente herbeuse raide sur la gauche. Personne sur l'itinéraire, très sauvage. Vu un aigle.
