Itinerary description

Mijas steep mountain walk Puerto Malaga. We first follow the blue walk path which leads you up to the plateau where you can see down the other flank. Then we return on the same trail but take a left turn on the yellow path to descend back into the village. The walk is medium because of the steep inclination, which offers amazing panoramic views on the village and the coast. The walk takes around 3 hours

I have followed this trail  verified  View more

My wife and I are both 63 years old and we would rate this as challenging. We have done longer and higher walks in the English Lake District but this was a bit of a slog, 2.5km up and then 2.5km down with no respite. The trail / directions are easy to follow. The paths are very clear but rough under foot with lots of loose stones. We would recommend good sturdy footwear
