Itinerary description

The trail is in rugged terrain, but is easy to walk. The path is not always visible in the stony terrain, but it is marked with cairns. Up to the little lake on the top, follow the cairns. Here the view is magnificent! The rest of my GPS marked walk is not a trail, but follows the mountain edge in safe distance (app. 20 m) – and it leads to further magnificent views. First along the mountain side over Syðradalur, then the mountain side over Norðadalur.
The mountainsides are very steep, so take care. In good visibility, it’s possible to walk and just follow the edge. Otherwise keep to the GPS marking!
