Very interesting walk - but from the old house up to the path - you need a friend to clear the way with a cordless chainsaw!! Or at least take a hacksaw with you.
The intense growth of prickly bushes makes this short stretch virtually impassable - and if you do force your way through - it is very uncomfortable. Otherwise - a great day out.
