Mirador Cerro Alaminos + Fire Lookout, Coin
This walk starts on the road off the MA 3303 between junction Km4 and Km3 Alhaurin to Coin Road.
Just past the recycle bins there is off road parking on the right hand side.
This is a pleasant hike up to the Cerro Alaminos Mirador. Start by taking the path adjacent the road then go into the forest using the hidden path on your left, (you will see coloured dots on the trees).
From here go up the firebreak, you will see two dots, orange and green on your right.
The first 20m or so are quite steep, but it’s well worth the effort getting to the fire lookout as the views are really good from here. It’s also a good spot to have a picnic. I’m sure the warden won’t mind, I have always found him very pleasant.
From here take the road back down then turn right to pick up the initial path on your left.
There is an interesting cave section worth looking at, check the waypoint.
There is about 70-80% shade on this walk.
The firebreak climb takes about 7-8 minutes to climb.
