Mirador de Sierra Gorda - Coin
This walk starts at the entrance of the Sierra Gorda Urbanisation in Coin.
There is plenty of parking.
On the left is the Tavola restaurant and on the right Jolumen shopping centre.
It is a gradual climb up to the official start of the walk, which starts at the Mirador.
Most of the walk is on pavement, then a small section of concrete, then soil and rock.
From the mirador doing the official 900m is a bit of a challenge as the trail is very hard to follow and is overgrown with bushes, brambles, wild asparagus etc.
There are numerous guide posts but finding them is a bit hit and miss.
Once you get to the summit the return journey is much easier.
There are some amazing views from the top of this iconic hill that overlooks Coin and the Guadalhorce valley.
I would suggest just getting to the mirador and having a picnic here. You can also drive
most of the way to the top of this route.
I would recommend long trousers, walking poles and secateurs to get around the top.
It is a hidden walk and might be fun doing it in a small group.
The urbanization is an on going process and there are some lovely villas and I came across two nice water feature areas.
