Itinerary description
Start from Alhama de Murcia and follow the back of town, on the Senda de la Fuente Borrego, along the mountain. You stay on a dirt track for the first few km, them turn left on the road and will soon arrive at the mirador; there you will see the canal del Trasvase Tajo-Segura. From the mirador, go down on the right side following a path that widens and takes you between chimeneas , and other geologic formations. You arrive very close to the embalse and can walk all the way to the water. Them go up toward the road. You have to walk on huge rocks. To go up the yacimiento go around the mound and follow the path. The way down was a bit ectic so better to go down on same path unlike what I did. The day I went the gate was closed but unlocked.
