Itinerary description
A pleasant varied walk with great views. It uses the National park trails no 9, 38, 13 and 32. The "Cuevas Negras" (black caves literally) are the remains of a lava tube, much of which is collapsed. The best bit is on the first sharp left hand bend of path 38 and thereafter to the right of the path for about 500m. You need to leave the path on the bend and go over the smooth lava to see the best bit. There is no sign there to indicate it. Take care, though, as there are steep drops around the collapsed tube.
