Itinerary description
A long, steep descent and ascent to the beautifully situated village of Afur from Mirador Pico del Ingles
Notes:
1/ At 3.15 kilometres, do not descend but stay on the same contour. There is a descending path here, which I followed by mistake for a short while before realising my error and returning to locate the onward path.
2/ The metal gate here is secured with wire, please secure after passing through
3/ The path is after the bus stop, on the left after the bend
4/ At 11.08 kilometres, I climbed a very steep embankment to save walking further along the paved track to access the upper path. I do not recommend this.. There is a path by a vehicle barrier, just before the point where I climbed, which will probably be easier, although I never investigated this. Alternatively, simply continue along the paved track until reaching the start of the ascending path on the left.

I climbed up this embankment to save time but it is very steep and difficult. It may be better to continue on the paved track to the start of the path
