Itinerary description
The first part was from Mishor-Yemin campsite through Gev Yemin (or Yemin pond) in the river-bed of Nachal Yemin and the river-bed of Nahal Hatira. This involves some hiking down and on the way up the climbing a ladder of 24 steps and then walking near the edge of some 100 m high walls of the valley. This was about 9 km
The second part can be done from the parking lot of Ein Yorkeam visiting the Ein Yorkeam Gev (pond) where, if you are brave enough, you can get in the water. This is a relatively short walk of about 1-1.5 km going back to the parking lot.
The third one is hiking up to the Small Fin and getting back to the Ein Yorkeam parking lot.
This is about 4.5-6 km long. The one in this recording is the shorter one, you could take a another path on the way down towards the colored sand campground. This is a very steep and a bit scary hike up as you are effectively walking on the edge of the mountain, but it is fun and the view is really nice.
Waypoints
The water cut through here
we can walk around There is some water at the bottom of this.
This is not all descend, we also had to climb a bit
I was surprised a bit as I did not remember it from the previous hike.
(river) bed and breakfast
We are going down there to the river-bed. We had breakfast here. This is what people call bed and breakfast.
Intersection of the two river-beds
Here we turned to the right on the green and on the national trail.
Boulders blocking the river
And we have also just missed the route that went above them so we had to return some 50 meters.
The way up
It is a bit hard to see in the picture but on the left side of it there is a path up with some lighter color leading up to the ladder.
On the wall of the river-bed
It isn't that scary as you can hold the hand-rails Some people in the background climbing
Road sign: Ein Yorkqeam (Ein Yorkeam)
Transcribing to Latin letters is hard Spelling English is harder. I think it says Palmah Acsent Instead of Palmach Ascent. On the bright side, all the letter are there.
Tunel under the train tracks on the way to the Small Fin
It is about 150 cm high and 50 m long. With my 187 cm it was not easy to cross this.
The fin - now you can even see the markings on the path
It is scarier in the real life :-)
Down from the Small Fin
From here there is about 1-1.5 km on the asphalt road back to the parking lot. There is a path in the river-bed that is a bit longer but might be a bit more pleasant. There are not many cars on this mostly one-lane road, but the drivers are scary. So make sure you keep a distance.
