Itinerary description
A great cabin trip, cherished by locals but largely unknown outside the modalen area. Perched on the edge of the Stølsheimen mountain plateau, cozy Skavlabu cabin offers commanding views of valley and fjord. With a 1000 meters of elevation to be gained, going up will never be easy, but taking the old dirt road makes is much less arduous. Best part of this hike is the last section, where you`ll find yourself surrounded by rocky peaks and deep lakes. On a clear day, one can see from Bergen to Jotunheimen.

Inderdaad over het weggetje naar boven was prettig klimmen voor onze eerste wandeldag en daarna fantastisch mooi gelopen! Prachtig. Dank voor deze tip. Wij hebben in Skavlabu geslapen, heel bijzonder.
