Itinerary description
Fabulous tour in the afternoon in late August. It was shady next to the river and sunny at the top and all the way down. Make sure to have enough water but there are some little springs or mini creeks where one can get fresh water. I really liked both parts, the adventure next or in the river and the sunny hike down in ash and stone, sometimes it felt like walking on the moon. Great hike for the family, we had our two teenage children and one dog. We all had our fun, adventure and great views. It was too hot for our group so we decided to descend along the river but it is a technical walk and being tired, it felt tougher than in the way up. Great trip, lots of fun, highly recommended.
