Itinerary description

This trail is part of a 3-days hike that we did starting from Barcelona by train (train R13/R14). We stayed overnight on the "casa rural - Mas de l'Arlequí", lovely place to enjoy peace and nature.

Day 1: Montblanc-Rojals (5h / 13Km / ~800m elevation)

From the train station, cross the village and follow the indications to “Ermita de Sant Josep” (~2 Km). From there follow the indications of the GR-171 to Rojals. Once arrived in Rojals, cross the village from East to West, keep going on the GR-171 till you find the indication to the left “Camí de l’Arlequí”. Here follow the indication and start going down for ~1Km. You will find the “Mas de l’Arlequí” on the right.

Day 2: Rojals-Le Tres Creus-Rojals (7h / 16.6Km / ~750m elevation)

From the “Mas de l’Arlequí" back to the GR-171, turn left on the road. Stay on the road and follow the signs to “La mola dels 4 termes / Le Tres Creus”.

Day 3: Rojals-Coll de la Mola-Poblet-Espluga de Francolí (4.5h / 16Km / -800m elevation)

From the “Mas de l’Arlequí" back to the GR-171, turn left on the road. Stay on the road for ~1Km and then take on the right following the signs to "Mirador de la Pena". From the "mirador" down to the "Monasterio de Poblet", that is definitely worth to visit, and then to the train station of "Espluga de Francolí".

For all the trails you have no facilities for food or water, so bring your own survival kit.
The area can be really hot starting from end of April/May.
