Itinerary description
We started this walk near a bar/restaurant where we parked our car a litlle further up the road leading to Hotel Reina.
The furst part of the walk goes gently down from 750 to 450 meters giving you many beautiful views of Málaga,the plains, the mountains to the west and the north , the embalse de Lomonero and the sea.
The track is wide and well maintained. After reaching 450 metres it goes gradually up will lead you to Hotel Humaina, beatifully and very quietly situated with an Area Recreativa adjacent to it with many picknick tables.
From here we took a narrow and sometimes very steep track, marked white/green wich is part of a 2,9 km. circular route that starts from the Area recreativa.
The ascent gives many splendid views and once at 800 metres the track becomes wide again, a balcony walk.
When is gets to the road we followed the roda down for a couple of hundred meters and then crosed it to walk up to a hilltop giving you a superb all around view.
From there we followed the track to the road where we parked the car.
there is one difficulty here. Once we arrived from the track om the grounds of the hotel we were faced with a closed gate, so we had to scramble up and down again around the gate.

The only problem we had was towards the end of the route the left turn through the last village was closed and said private property! So we had to walk along the main road.

Great route but maybe stay down on the forest path to the end as the gate was shut so we had to walk on the main road.
