Itinerary description
This path can me moderate difficulty if you follow it as we did, starting with climbing the million stairs to get up the ridges starting right behind the monastery.
Lighter variation is if you (after arriving to the monastery) take the Sant Johan funicular up, walk to the highest point (40 minutes) with the compass and then turn back and walk to the monastery on the other side, arriving then wet we started. (1 hour)
If you feel adventurous, the hard(er) part is at the beginning, lasts till you see the thumbs up picture on the path.
Getting around can be a bit confusing as the itinerary made by Montserrat (the blue paper you get at the tourist information, picture is one of the last ones of the path/at the start depending how you are looking at it) uses different numbers as the natural park walkways (pic can be found at the top of the sant joan funicular waypoint). I think the natural park numbers are easier to understand. In the natural park system we did path 2,1,3, in this order. (The lighter variation is 1 followed by 2).
I love this hike as these mountains have very special shapes. It feels like you are 3000 meters high up because the hills are very steep, while only being at 1000.
We usually bring some picnic food and drinks that we have close to the highest point, the compass.
Bring plenty of water, I drank almost 1,5 liters on a may, 20 degrees, not super hot day. No springs or other ways of getting supplies after you left the starting point.
Happy hiking!

Buen recorrido con aún mejores vistas. Lo hemos hecho con un perro pequeño el cual como hemos cargado unos tramos con escaleras. De resto no tuvimos ningún problema.
