Itinerary description
Nice hiking in the Polish Tatra mountains, highest area of the whole Carpathos.
I headed the lake Morskie Oko and later almost reached the Rysys, the highest mountain in Poland (hence in Polish Tatras as well).
I stopped around 100 or 200m in distance from the summit, I was tired and was the last going up in the mountain (started in the afternoon -positive, being alone in the return way and having chances to see clearer sky. Although it was raining and smoggy during the day).
Just a kind notice that the first 8 km from the parking (50PLN) to the Morskie Oko lake are a proper road. And it is extremely crowded since is a very famous sightseeing place in Poland. According to the carpark officer during summer season 6-7k persons can reach the lake daily (top peaks around 10k).
The route until second lake and the summit is normal hiking path (and not crowded). The majority is stone steps until de last 300/400 m where you are climbing and have the aid of metallic chains in the difficult parts.
