Itinerary description
Fun day hike following red and white trail marks. The most challenging part is the first third. There is a nasty segment of the way with steep ascent almost overgrown with prickly bushes. Fortunately, it is not very long. The other problem is that some parts of the trail are neglected and some of trail marks became obscured by fallen trees. Extreme case of this was at the end of the trail where I tried to follow a supposed shortcut trail and ended up roaming in the woods for some time. The trail branch became impassable there, the correct nice and simple path toward Castelpoggio is marked with a waypoint.
I designated the hike as "difficult", because I was caught in the rain a couple of times, and with slippery rocks and logs it is more dangerous. In normal weather this should be not that hard.
