Itinerary description
This is a definitely underrated ridge of Mt Barney with a bunch of great scrambling and limited scrub for its the lack of use. The south-east aspect of Mt Barney has three ridges, the most southern route is the most used SE ridge, across the next gully to the north is middle ridge and further north lies long SE ridge. All three ridges join together a few hundred meters from the top and all include the last fun scrambles of the normal SE ridge. Middle SE ridge has great views all the way up and is a tad harder than Logans and more like Mezzanine without the scrub. Well worth a tramp if all other routes are starting to get old. We descended Rocky Creek just for shits an giggles!
