Itinerary description
Mt Mathieson presents a easy hike providing great use of Mount Mitchell, Mount Cordeaux and the view from Governors chair across Moogerah Peaks area.
The track does have a couple of sections where you need to scrabble round rocks on or on top of rocks immediately before the ascent of Mount Mathieson.
This walk is well provisioned with signage which outlines historic significance of the area.
The hike concludes coming down Spicers Peak road back to the Pioneer campground where the hike begins.

Awesome views and great mix of terrain including rainforest. A koala was spotted too!
Completed today. An enjoyable hike with stunning tall grass tree lined paths to rainforest. Great views.
