Itinerary description
The Mt Quimper climb is one of my favourite hikes.This variation of the Mt Quimper hike is the 4th that I have recorded. This is called V 73 as we climbed and recorded the track log on my 73 birthday. The route goes up through the wood and over as many scenic viewpoints as possible. The route avoids the steep ascent but goes up the east side off the trail to Thunderbird Camp. The descent followed the original hike back via the eroded old logging road and the Sooke Mt road
