Itinerary description

Note - use Adventurer23's gpx file (http://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=1881137). I am only adding mine so I can upload some photos & add some comments.
A friend & I completed this circuit in mid-Oct 2011. My GPS registered the trip as ~20km. My advice is:- you need to have a good level of fitness; be confident and comfortable with heights; have some scrambling skills; GPS accuracy will be variable and do the circuit in a clockwise direction.
We parked at the fork of Stephens Rd & Kerry Rd but I would suggest parking up near Lost World Cabin (cross the Albert River via a causeway, thru a gate and onto a dirt road. It has the look & feel of private land but I believe it is a continuation of the for-public-use Kerry Rd.
With taking the ridge at a safe & steady pace (see photos), we took 4.5 hrs to get from the car to the cairn of Razorback Mountain (at the SE corner of the plateau). It was then 2 hrs to get to the low point of the saddle (again you’ll need to be comfortable with heights), 1.5 hr off the saddle (& off-track) to reach Albert River. My suggestion is to allow 3hrs to do the 6.5Km of Albert River. It is a good looking waterway, but hours of rock hopping reduces the fun factor (see photo).... and then a 40 min 3km walk to the car .

As of now, the first section up to the ridge is across private land with lots of angry "PRIVATE PROPERTY - TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED" signs.

This is a bit of a shame it would be nice to work out some arrangement with the landowners to get access to the start of the trail. We asked around but couldn't find anyone who knew who owned the land.

The reverse direction, through the gate on kerry rd and into the national park should be fine.
