Itinerary description

This was an overnight hike completed to the Richmond Saddle hut then in the morning we climbed to the summit of Mt Richmond then returned to the hut for a quick lunch before heading back to the stream.
If you have a 4wd vehicle you can cut some length off the trip, we had to park prior to the stream and ford the stream then walk up the vehicle track before entering the walking track.
The walk to the hut was fairly easy though almost all uphill, nice potbelly stove in the hut to maintain the temperature in the hut and cook dinner/breakfast.
In the morning we climbed the snowy skree slope to the summit before returning to the hut then continuing back to the stream to finish the hile
