Itinerary description

Descending to the rambla we head north towards fossil valley. After about 6 km we leave the rambla by a track which runs parallel to the rambla. After lunch we ascend to a ridge. Eventually, we meet the road and a 2 km hill climb back to our cars. On our "pioneer" walk we spotted between 20 and 30 wild boar.

A great walk initially amongst pine tree clad hillsides, then along a rambla, don’t leave the rambla too early or you will miss a narrow gorge. Well worth the short T & B before rejoining the route across open countryside. A short steep climb reaches a great ridge walk for the return part of the journey. Make sure you follow the route back to the road and not past the bees. We got stung 4 times between the two of us! Our fault.
It is worth parking the car near the big metal water tank rather than at the designated start. This way you finish the walk without having to climb back up the road at the end of the day.
A fantastic walk but no Wild Boar on this occasion; plenty of evidence of their abundance though.
