Itinerary description
Leaving the car park by the Sports centre in Mojacar Pueblo we start our climb past the school. We pass the "Barking Dogs" and the Codeur building before turning right past the chained fence. From Here we follow the track for as far as it goes past the crayfish pond rapidly ascending to above Mojacar with great views of the whole of the coast to Aguilas and beyond. We then descend through rough land and bracken heading for the ruined Vera's Farm (Cortijo de Cuco) where we have lunch. After lunch we descend the long and winding road towards the Orange Grove and Alcantrilla and back to our cars at the sports ground. (this walk has many variations such as the phone masts and Clapham junction and or returning along the mountainside)
