Itinerary description
Las BombardasAfter a brief talk about the incident we leave Quitapellejos beach and make our way along the rambla. We are parallel to the "unused" road structures along the way. After About an hour we can view the radioactive site where bomb number 2 landed and exploded on the 17th January 1966. The whole area is double fenced to keep people out. A brief visit to a large cross nearby before continuing to our lunch spot on the hill above the Codeur water deposit. Great 360 degree views from the trig point at 84 metres. After lunch we return via the rambla to our cars on the beach.
