Itinerary description
I cannot believe that this was one of the first walks that I learned back in 2003 and yet I had never recorded it! . But, now I have albeit 17 years later. This is a short walk of about 8.00 km and 3 hours but with it's fair share of ascents hence it's M+ grading. Starting at Mojacar Pueblo Sports Centre car park we head up the road towards the Mobile masts above the Pueblo. Near the top our hike into the campo begins. We continue through the campo with it's fantastic views of the Playa below us until we reach a large stone we call Queen Vic (After the shape of Queen Victoria). Here we turn right with our backs to the coast and head upwards into the hills. This is the longest climb ever upwards until we reach "Clapham Junction" so named because many of the mountain walking routes pass through here. This is were we have lunch. After lunch we head back to the Pueblo descending all the way. Fabulous views in every direction
