Itinerary description

This is a classic route, a real must. The uploaded track is a bit a mess because the GPS losses the satellites inside the tunnels and also under the tree leaves' thick coverture or deep down in the cannyons. Anyway, the track is well signed and marked. Don't forget to take a torch with you, it's serious. Leave the car where the end of the route is marked in the map. This is really a Taxi stop. Here you hire a taxi up to "Casa de Monte". The taxi (in fact, a 8 seats 4x4 van) costs 15 euros per person (July 2012) and starts at 09:00. It's worth the money. Seat back and enjoy the trip. "Casa del Monte" is equipped with BBQ for picnic. From "Casa del Monte" you have a nice walk following an ancient water man-made course. 13 tunnels are dug in the volcanic rock. Children love this part, specially the "wet" one... This part is flat. After the last tunnel, short climb to the surgents and then descent begins. Not complicated but a bit tricky along the dry river stones. The cannyon is sometimes really high above your head. After all this walk, you arrive to the "Taxi stop", where you left your car. A couple of sticks are of a great help
