Itinerary description
Full day hike in a beautiful area of the eastern Negev. The best season to do this hike is winter to early spring when it's not too hot, since there is not much shade along the route.
The hike begins at the bottom of the Scorpions Ascent following the Zin wadi which has a lot of green after winter rains. The trail then continues up the Scorpions wadi to the small crater lookout. After that the trail goes west to Nahal Gov and back to the starting point following the wadi. Nahal Gov may contain quite a lot of water so be ready to get wet (at some point you might even have to swim).
This is not an easy hike as it contains some steep ascents and descents, and is quite long (~22 km), but it doesn't require any special equipment.
