Itinerary description

This hike was quite intense, especially because of the heat.
When I did this I walked the last hour already after sundown, but luckily there was almost full moon and no clouds so I could see. I saw a few Jackals.

My suggestion would be is to start from the lowest point of this route and go the other way around.
I would park my car somewhere south of Naham on the dirt road number 3856. Then do this counter-clockwise. At one point I had to cross the Sorek stream that despite being in the summer was quite high and I had to jump from stone to stone. I took some pictures. (Nahal Sorek)

I started my hike here. It was not such a good idea as I had to climb back up here at the end when I was already really tried.

So that's where I have to cross? If this is the water level in the summer, is there any way to cross this in the winter when there is supposed to be more water?

After crossing the stream. I was still shaking a bit. It would have been better if this was at the beginning of my hike.

Thanks for mapping this trail. Following your comment, we started the hike at the bottom, parked before the quarry. Much better. Also, I would recommend NOT to walk on the main street from the Yemenite Jewery site, there is a dirt trail that one can follow downhill. Note to those that want to hike it - you cannot be afraid of heights, there is a section where you will need to climb a bit, but there are steel steps in the rock :-)

I am glad you managed to do this. I passed by the stream crossing a few weeks ago and noticed the rails that helped me crossing the stream were gone. Are they back? How did you manage to cross the stream?

Yes, the rails are there. Those with shorter legs that can not make a wide step from rock to rock might wet their shoes a bit, but I was fine.

Very nice trail, although crossing the river is not easy as there was only a rope to help.
As suggested, I parked at the quarry and walked counterclockwise. The 400 meter ascent after crossing the river is steep but very nice.

I should really do this hike again. Maybe not during a heat-wave.
