Itinerary description
This trail is in Tavush province, Armenia.
Tavush is the most "welcome" province in Armenia for hikes, as even during a long period of winter it has open weather.
~~~WHAT you SHOULD KNOW about this TRAIL ? ~~~
--- If you are fond of mountain landscape views and forests, it's your trail.
--- You start walking from Dilijan city ( Դիլիջան ) and head to Հաղարծին Haghartsin monastery ( XI - XIII Century ).
--- This trail is marked by Trans Caucasian Trails (TCT), but having GPS is also must.
--- Be aware that during your hike you'll meet local's dogs, don't panic when they get closer and bark, try to escape their territory quickly but never run, most of them only bark, the other part come closer to get acquainted with.
--- SEASON: The best season for this trail is from May till November. From December till May the trail can be covered with snow, so it's better to make inquiries before the hike in that period.
--- The length of the route is 13 km.

We hiked this trail in mid October starting from Haghartsin. It is a bit challenging route sometimes so I would not recommend it to people with no experience. The views, the mounting and the autumn forest are amazing though
