Itinerary description
Walk from the top of the Monte San Salvatore funicular (based at Paradiso, accessible by train from Lugano) to Morcote (accessible by bus from Lugano) on trails, tracks and minor roads.
It starts by going up to the lookout for good views and information about the Gottard tunnel, then returns to the top of the funicular and descends. The first section of the path from the top is quite rocky and scrambly, but after this the paths normally have a reasonable surface and aren't too steep. This walk chooses less-major paths in the second half to avoid any extra ascent.
