Itinerary description

This hike precedes from Point Lookout on North Stradbroke island along the beach towards track coming from the blue lake area and concludes coming back via the Keyhole Lagoons area.
It is preferable you do this hike at low tide or at least the section along the beach.

Keyhole Lagoons is an incredible 4.5km series of clear freshwater lakes on North Stradbroke Island (traditionally known as Minjerribah), commonly used for kayaking and stand-up-paddle boarding but equally fantastic for wild swimming. The main swimming hole is amazing, it’s fresh water, warm in summer and a beautiful swim. The Keyhole Lagoons are in a really quiet area with few visitors.

During the time we visited we saw 3 whales close in to the shoreline frolicking in the waves. Today this hike is easy I wouldn't recommend it for people who could not at least do the distance. This track would be a little harder if it had been raining as the area round keyhole Lagoons does get very wet.
