From the Chalets climb up towards Col de la Terasse. Steep and continuous climb on gravel (2h15)
From the Col de la Terasse, take the way back to Lac d'Emosson through the Gorges de la Veudale. Stony path but not very difficult (2h35).

Very difficult
Very beautiful route, but hard and far. We did it in 8.45hours.
We were in doubt this route was too hard for us. 2 people age around 35, we walked this route after 6 days walking at another hike so we had a nice condition.
We saw this was one of the most beautiful routes adviced on some page on google. And we had a rest day the day after so we took the challenge. It was sunny and perfect walking conditions.
We parked the car at lac mosson parking. Then we started walking with a view on the beautiful dam.
We turned left on the stairs on the lus and kept going. There was no walking path to see for 50 meters but some arrows so we knew it was here. After this hard part of 50 meters there were some better paths and we knew we felt we did good taking this route and really enjoyed all of it. It was great and what we wanted! Wow!
The route was absolutely great till the first refugi Loriaz.
After this the route went to col de la terasse. It was a nice and hard part of the hike until there was only snow. We went on the left side of the snow and walked on stones and hoped we could go from left to right and only take a small part of the snow ringer to the top. Don’t do that if you don’t want the snow. Just go on the rocks on the right side and go to the top there.
For us on the left side, the snow was too much so we walked up on the left and then we walked back down 300 meters and wasted 1 hour time.
There were 2 other people who took the snow though and it seemed good for them. (Maybe with different shoes and sticks)
Advice: test if you like to walk on the snow or just go on the right side at start here.
Finally at the top we had some great views again and saw some wild animals.
The descent was nice but far.
Conclusion: perfect until Loriaz regufi.
Hard but okay from la terasse to the lac.
Do this hike with good condition and good wheater.
