Itinerary description

Started off on the old trail along by the canal & through countryside. Had about 40 minutes of rain at the start but thankfully it stopped & we dried off yesterday’s gear off the back packs. After Coffee in Rogil , we walked in the new trail, marked red & white. Great decision. Walked through pine forests& wide unsealed road. Decided to do the additional 5 k loop towards the end of the straight path which brought us out to the sea through INCREDIBLE Spring flowers. Lunch beside the sea & then we walked on the road all the way back to Aljezur as our advance scout had warned us about two large floods. The last 1 hour 40 minutes on the road were tough but the sun shone.
